Children who are in foster care find it far more difficult to complete their education, and their statistics in exam situations are extremely poor. It is often said that these figures are artificial due to the fact that so many children in foster care come from ethnic backgrounds. The fact remains, though, that the figures are genuine and accurate.

The waiting list will be long, and you will need to pass through an extensive regime of testing. It is by no means an impossible goal, but it is certainly one which needs to be tackled head-on, and with a realistic assessment of what is likely to happen.
